...There are many reasons why you (or someone you know) may need some cookery lessons - more often than not, everyone has the ability to cook, it's just a case of building confidence in the kitchen.
So how does it work?
The cookery lessons I offer are on a one-to-one, or small group basis (no more than 3 people please, unless you have a very large kitchen!). I come to you prior to your lesson/s beginning for a consultation where we will discuss what you want to get out of the session/s. From here we will put together a menu or list of dishes you would like to cook and book in the lesson/s accordingly. Following the cookery lesson I will leave you in peace to enjoy your culinary delights - we can cook enough for just you, or for your family/friends/partners to enjoy with you(prices are based on cooking for a maximum of 2, although this can be increased).
Further to hands-on cooking, you may also be interested in help/advice on:
-Menu planning
-Shopping - what to buy, basic store cupboard ingredients, shopping on a budget
-What can be cooked and frozen and eaten at a later - ideal meals for this purpose
Whatever your needs/requirements, my aim is to get you in the kitchen, cooking confidently. Whilst I have spent time cooking in a restaurant kitchen, I am really just a passionate foodie, who loves cooking and would love to pass on this enthusiasm and passion for cooking to you.
Prices really do vary, depending on what you would like to cook, and how long a lesson you would like - you may want an hour, you may want a day - one session, or a programme of 10, so please do call me to discuss this. As an indication though:
1) For a one-off lesson, one-to-one, learning to cook a three course meal, this would cost approx. £65 and take 2-2.5 hours.
2) For 4 sessions with a group of 3 'pupils', each session cooking 3 dishes, taking 2-2.5 hours, would cost £530 total (£44 per person per session)
*I encourage pupils to buy their own ingredients (this is part of the experience!), however I will bring these to your lesson if you wish (I will just charge you at cost for these ingredients).
