But remember this, if you have a fire or accident and it is traced to a faulty electrical appliance, the first thing your insurer will probably ask for is your latest 'PAT' testing results, if you are unable to provide them it is highly likely that they will not pay out, what damage will that cause to your business?.
Sometimes you may not see the value of having your appliances tested until it is too late, a business we recently tested had a fire on their premises which was traced to a faulty fan heater. £140,000 of damage caused, would that business still be in existence today if it had not taken the simple precaution of PAT Testing?.
Had they taken the view that Portable Appliance Testing was an unnecessary expense, probably not.
